I wrote this, probably last spring now, and it is basically part 4 of my memoir/novel I've been putting off in favor of my other novel right now. This is a description of my room as a teenager, somewhat, as well as the situation. The whole start of the memoir is about digital life, so this poem's form adheres to a syllabic constraint.
The speed of light is 299, 792, 458 m/s. This poem was built with that in mind, so it has 2 syllables, 9 syllables, 9 syllables, 7.. etc. Until it repeats. Light is the underlying fabric of my digital world, so why not implant it into my poetry? Anyway, figured I might as well post something that was on my mind, even if it isn't "new" technically.
I adore this poem. The topographical image is neat and I am a sucker for strong alliteration, and you nailed it. Very descriptive and sentimental. Good look on your novel!

Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it.
Each day we will feature 5 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.
